What is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)?


RDNs are individuals who translate the science of nutrition into practical and realistic interventions in efforts to promote a healthful lifestyle. RDNs must complete a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, complete an ACEND – Accredited supervised practice program, pass a national examination, and complete continuing professional education requirements to maintain registration.

Inpatient Services:
Our Registered Dietitian provides quality medical nutrition therapy by conducting a nutrition assessment, determining a nutrition diagnosis, implementing appropriate intervention(s), and evaluating/monitoring progress in efforts to improve or maintain the health of our patients. 

Outpatient Services:
Our Registered Dietitian provides outpatient medical nutrition therapy to aid in the prevention or treatment of many conditions/diseases. Therapy includes, but is not limited to, education and management for: 

- Pre-diabetes/diabetes 

- Weight management

- Kidney disease

- Heart disease

- Nutrition support (enteral/parenteral Nutrition)

- Liver disease

- Hypertension

- Gastrointestinal disorders

-Food allergies
